Reduce Faculty Banked Credits

For a variety of reasons, it may be necessary to reduce the amount of Faculty Banked Credits.  For example, if a situation changes or does not come to fruition, or if the faculty member has gone over the Dean's specified limit without authorization.  To manually reduce someone's Faculty Banked Credits:

  1. Note the current Faculty Banked Credits amount
  2. Create a Teaching activity
    1. Choose "Reduce Banked Credits" as the course
    2. Enter the amount of the reduction as a NEGATIVE number
    3. Save
  3. Edit the Faculty Banked Credits field and replace the existing value with that value minus the amount of the reduction.  So, if the Faculty Banked Credits is 1.5 and the reduction is by 1.0, enter the value of .5.
  4. Save
