Previous Versions is a feature on our file servers that allows users to restore previous versions of files or folders that have been modified, deleted, or otherwise changed.
Our Western SBN file servers are set to create previous version backups daily at 7am and 12noon. Typically, previous backup restores are limited and will allow you to go back a month or two in the history of a folder or file. If a folder or file was deleted or modified before then, submit a helpdesk ticket at http://westernhelpdesk.cce.cornell.edu.
Who can use this service/system?
Western NY region or any file server with the previous versions feature enabled
