Issue:
A PDF of the application is needed for either Admissions needs or the electronic student record (ImageNow). Protected/secured PDFs will not get looped and the process will error out. The challenge is that there is no feedback from Loop on which PDF(s) are problematic.
To resolve this, staff need to run loop with just one attached document at a time to determine which attached PDFs are causing the issue, then either scan the PDF or perform another method to get around the protection.
This is a very timely process and knowing which PDF(s) are causing the issue would shave a lot of time off of it.
What this process does:
Loops through all the attached files on the application object to determine if any of them will fail the Drawloop process. This is usually due to protected/secured PDFs attached by the applicant and are typically but not excluded to Transcripts.
*** Process does not create any PDFs, change data/set values, send emails or anything like that ... it just tests attached files and gives you feedback on the results.
Requirements/Details:
- The user performing the operation needs to have a Loop license in SalesForce
- This process only works on the Admissions Application Object
How to run the process:
- In Lighting, access the drop-down arrow in the upper-right hand corner
- Select ‘Test Loop’

- The process will attempt to Loop each document one at time

- If any of the PDF’s are secured/protected they will be listed
- You can use the 'Back' button on your browser to get back to the Application record

Loop Errors
Occasionally Loop will still error even when the test gives green. Trial and error may be necessary to determine which file is the issue. Try rendering the letter with various combinations of files to determine which is causing the issue.
Once determined, open the issue file and select Print to PDF. Upload the new PDF from your computer and try to run the Test Loop process with the new file (remove the issue file and proceed with the new uploaded version). This should resolve the issue.
