Box Folder Management

Box is an excellent tool for collaboration on various types of files.

Permissions are managed via the Cornell Box website.

If you are Off-boarding from ILR regardless the type of transition, ownership of files or folders should be turned over to another individual (such as a supervisor) in the department.  This can be done by the owner simply assigning the other individual as an "Owner."  If this is not a possibility or the Owner is not able to do this, the supervisor can submit a ticket to CIT to request ownership of that file/folder.  Failing to assign a new owner if an individual is leaving the University could result in loss of data.

Supervisors may also want to consider utilizing departmental Box folders.
