Software that is technically free to download still must follow the Statement of Need Protocals.
Software that is offered for free such as Tableau Public are free but come with greater security risks as there is often data collection associated with using these services.
If you would like to download a free application please consult ILRTS first and our security leads will assess the apps and what actions should be taken.
If an application is approved for use by IT but your business need changes please promptly create a ticket explaining the new business need.
If an application is cleared for use with low-risk data and you need to put medium/high risk data in the application you will need to go through the process again.
