Outlook - How to set default browser for web links in e-mails
If website links are opening in Microsoft Edge, rather than your preferred default browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.), check your Outlook settings.
- Open Microsoft Outlook
- Click on File, and then Options in the left menu.
- In Outlook options window, click on Advanced in the left menu.
- Scroll down to "File and browser preferences"
- By "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in", click on drop down menu and select "Default Browser"
Outlook - Reset your view settings
A recent Microsoft update may have changed your Outlook view. Follow the steps below to restore it to the most commonly preferred settings.
- Open Outlook
- Click on Inbox folder
- Under View tab in top menu bar:
- Click on Change View button, select Compact
- Click on View Settings button, then click on the button to reset current view

- If your reading pane isn't showing, under View tab, click on Reading Pane button and select Right

Outlook - Allow Group Calendars
Outlook 365’s new ‘Shared Calendar Improvements’ feature blocks adding reference groups or group calendars. To add existing group calendars, you must turn off this setting first.

- Open Outlook
- Click on File in the upper right corner
- Click on Account Settings button and select Account Settings
- Double click on your e-mail address under E-mail tab
- Click on More Settings button
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Uncheck "Turn on shared calendar improvements (preview)"
- Click OK to exit Microsoft Exchange window
- Click Next in the Exchange Account Settings window
- Click Done in the Exchange Account Settings window
- Click Close to exit Account Settings window
- Close Outlook and re-open Outlook.

How to check and update Microsoft Office manually
- Open Word
- Click on "File" in the upper left corner
- Click on "Account" in left menu
- If on a smaller screen, you may need to click "More" and then "Account"
- Under Product Information, click on "Update Options" box and click "Update Now"
- At this point, Microsoft will let you know if Office is up-to-date or will start downloading and installing updates.
- During updates, you will be prompted when you need to close out of any open Office programs.
