CCE Niagara - Outlook - Add Niagara calendars

This article provides step-by-step instructions for adding CCE Niagara staff and resource calendars in Microsoft Outlook by searching the Cornell address book. It also includes links to tutorial videos for additional guidance.

NOTE:  You must change a setting in Outlook (Classic) before it will allow you to add group calendars.   Review the section "Allowing Group Calendars in Outlook" in Article - Western - Outlook - Calendars before following the steps below.  (Adding group calendars does NOT work in New Outlook, which is why it's strongly discouraged at this time.)

Adding CCE Niagara Calendars in Outlook

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook on your computer.
  2. Click the Calendar icon located in the navigation pane.
  3. From the top menu, click Add Calendar.
  4. Select Open Shared Calendar from the dropdown options.
  5. In the search box, enter the name of the group, staff person, or resource calendar you want to add. (See the tutorial videos below for assistance.)
    • To add the CCE Niagara staff calendars, search for rg.extnia.
    • To add CCE Niagara group calendars for resources and events, search for EXT-NIA-Calendars.
      • EXT-NIA-Calendars includes reservations calendar, staff leave and fair events calendars.
      • EXT-NIA-Calendars-Resources includes equipment available for reservation such as loaner laptops, media carts, and vehicles.
  6. Click OK to add the selected calendar group.
