Verify RMM Agent

 

Verify RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) Agent 

This will verify that your workstation has the required RMM agent to remain compliant with CCE (Cornell Cooperative Extension) Suffolk security policies. 

Check agent installation (Windows) 

• Check the system tray on the bottom-right of your workstation 

• Verify the red Cornell shield icon 

• If missing, you can install the RMM agent here:  

• RMM Agent for Windows 

• Your computer may be re-named to comply with Cornell’s naming conventions <to be determined> 

• The hostname change could affect configured SMB Network scanning 

• IT Will reach out to you to verify workstation assignment for inventory management 

• Hover over the icon to get your current computer name 

• Right-click for additional options such as submitting support tickets, Link to Cornell IT support and live-chat modules.

• Verify the red Cornell shield icon 

• If missing, you can install the RMM agent here:  

• RMM Agent for MacOS  

• Your computer may be re-named to comply with Cornell’s naming conventions <to be determined> 

• The hostname change could affect configured SMB Network scanning 

• IT Will reach out to you to verify workstation assignment for inventory management 

• Hover over the icon to get your current compute name
