Faculty and staff can use Video on Demand (VOD) to upload and publish a wide variety of digital video, audio, and image files that pertain to or support the mission of Cornell University, including content supporting the Cornell academic, research, and outreach missions or other official Cornell use or business.
Zoom sessions that are recorded to the cloud are stored in VOD and are automatically captioned for accessibility.

Any media that has not been viewed over the last two (2) years will have its “flavors” removed. (Flavors are versions of the video stored in the system to allow smoother streaming of the content at different resolutions and bandwidths.) Removing these flavors can noticeably affect the media’s performance—and may prevent playback altogether.
Any media unwatched for four (4) years will be removed completely from the platform.

Transferring Ownership of VOD media files:

For bulk transfer or if current owner has already left CCE, please start a helpdesk ticket. http://helpdesk.cce.cornell.edu.
Content is not deleted when someone leaves, although they do lose access to it when their NetID is deactivated. Ownership can still be changed if the original owner has left, but this does require additional approvals (from ED, HR and IT security office).
A group e-mail account (EGA) cannot be set as the owner.
