CCE E-Lists

E-lists make it easy to communicate with groups of people using a single email address. CCE uses e-lists for internal staff communication, regional and program coordination, and outreach to external audiences. Some e-lists are automatically managed based on employment information, while others can be created and maintained by staff for newsletters, programs, committees, volunteers, and subscriber groups.

System-Managed CCE E-Lists

These CCE e-lists are automatically populated and synced using data from Workday and the Org Report which is managed through CCE Business Systems - http://apps.cce.cornell.edu/.  Membership is based on organizational roles, Workday job codes, PWT (Program Work Team) memberships.

  • Association E-lists
Association e-lists are used to communicate with staff within a specific association or office. Common uses include building closures, office announcements, meeting notices, event information, and other organization-wide updates.
    • Staff are automatically added based on employment and association membership.
      • Example: cce-Monroe-L@cornell.edu
    • If you need an additional person added to an association e-list — such as a volunteer or a regional Ag Team member working with your office — contact your SBN IT Lead Manager or the CCE Helpdesk:  http://helpdesk.cce.cornell.edu/

  • Regional E-lists
Regional e-lists are used to communicate with staff across multiple associations within a Shared Business Network (SBN) region. These messages often include IT alerts, system outages, Workday updates, HR announcements, and other operational communications.
    • Example: cce-western-staff-l@cornell.edu

  • Program/Functional E-lists
Program/functional e-lists are used to communicate with staff based on program area, subject matter, or functional role.
    • Example: pwt-farm-to-school-l
