As a Johnson Two-Year MBA student in this pilot, you have a Cornell-provided ChatGPT Edu account in the Cornell University workspace. This article gets you signed in.
⚠️ Already have a ChatGPT account on your @cornell.edu address?
OpenAI may offer to merge it into Cornell's workspace. A merge can't be undone, cancels a Plus subscription, and you may lose the merged content when you leave Cornell. Read ChatGPT Edu and Your Personal ChatGPT Account before you choose.
Step 1 — Accept your invitation
- Find the email from OpenAI <noreply@tm.openai.com> inviting you to ChatGPT Edu. Outlook may warn that you don't often get email from this address, which is normal for a first message.
- Click Join workspace.
- On the page that opens, your @cornell.edu address is filled in. Click Continue. Don't use Continue with Google, Apple, or phone.
Step 2 — Sign in with your Cornell account
- On How do you want to log in?, choose Cornell University (the option with the key icon), not Google, Microsoft, Apple, or password.
- Sign in with your NetID and password and approve Duo.
- If asked to Select a workspace, choose Cornell University and click Continue.
Step 3 — Check you're in the Cornell workspace
The bottom-left corner should show Cornell University · EDU. If you have another ChatGPT account, click there to switch between them.
Install the apps (optional)
- Windows or Mac: download the ChatGPT desktop app from openai.com/chatgpt/download.
- iPhone, iPad, or Android: install ChatGPT by OpenAI from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in with your @cornell.edu address. When you reach How do you want to log in? (it opens on auth.openai.com), choose Cornell University again.
