Getting Help with the Student AI Pilot

Two teams support the pilot. JCB IT helps you get signed in and set up. Cornell's AI team handles how the platforms are configured for Cornell. If you're not sure which you need, start with JCB IT and we'll point you the right way.

For example
  • Can't sign in, or Duo isn't prompting
  • Invitation email missing, expired, or not working
  • An app won't install or sign in on your device
  • You're in the wrong account
  • "Extensions have been disabled" messages
  • Turning on a connector or feature
  • Access to a model that isn't available
  • Usage or spending policy
  • "Ask your admin for access" prompts

Requests for new connectors, models, or features aren't guaranteed. Part of the pilot is learning what students actually need, so say what you'd use it for.

What to include when you email

Everyone's device and setup is different, so these details save a round of back-and-forth:

  • Which tool: Claude or ChatGPT
  • Where: the web (and which browser), the desktop app, or the phone app
  • Your device and operating system: for example, a MacBook on macOS 15, a Windows 11 laptop, an iPhone, or an Android phone
  • Which account was active: Cornell or personal (check the account menu)
  • What you were doing, and the exact error message or a screenshot

Please don't send passwords, Duo codes, or sign-in links. We'll never ask for them.

Anthropic and OpenAI support

The invitation and sign-in emails link to Anthropic's and OpenAI's help centers. Their general guides are useful, but their support teams can't change Cornell's settings or your Cornell account. For anything about your Cornell account, contact JCB IT or Cornell's AI team.
