How to mass import SF leads or contacts into Pardot as prospects

You can use the "Add to Pardot" button on a lead or contact record for individual records, but when you have a lot of prospect records to create, use these steps.

Step-by-step guide

1. Create a report in Salesforce that contains all leads or contacts that need to be created as prospects in Pardot.  The report should contain Lead or Contact ID, First Name, Last Name, and Email address
2. Export the report results to Excel
3. Save the file as .CSV
4. Go to Pardot
5. Click on Prospects and then Prospect List
   
6. Choose the Import Prospects button on the right hand side
   
   
7. Choose to Create and update prospects using Salesforce Lead or Contact ID, select your saved CSV file and check the box for compliance
   
8. Then map fields
   
9. Select Import prospects:
   
10. Select the "JCB Salesforce CRM" as the campaign
    
    
11. Then select to "Import Prospects"
    
    
12. Then confirm and save the import
    
13. You will receive an email when completed.  Check to make sure existing leads were updated.
