Connect to a File Share Using a Mac

This article explains how to connect to a shared folder on a Human Ecology server from a Mac

 

1. From Finder select Go from the pulldown menu, and then connect to server (also Command-K)

2. Enter the address (example shown) smb://fh-data.files.cornell.edu/fh- data/DEPT/DNS/DNS-Share

3. The Mac will then prompt for logon credentials

4. Enter your Name as CORNELL\NetID
5. Enter your Password as your NetID password.
6. Do NOT click the checkbox to remember the password, it creates issues later.

The file share will open.
