Using the ILR Meeting Rooms

Touch Screen to begin.

This will wake the system up.

Select the appropriate input from the selections at the top:

To use Zoom Room:

Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Connect the USB cable to your laptop to add the room mics, cameras, and speakers to your laptop for a Zoom video conference or other laptop audio video apps.

To adjust which television screen you are presenting to:

Select monitor 1 or 2.

If you have invited the room ilrives181@cornell.edu to your Zoom meeting via the Zoom add-on in Outlook, you can click join, on the meeting to the left. Otherwise you can select New Meeting, or Join to enter the meeting ID and passcode.

In the meeting, you have standard Zoom controls.

Whiteboarding:

Whiteboard is available in and out of a Zoom meeting to draw using the mouse.

Sharing content:

You can share content from a laptop or mobile device within a meeting or outside of a meeting using the sharing key in the Zoom app on your device or via the web.

Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)*Note, screen sharing from the Zoom Room desktop is not an available option. A secondary device must be presenting to the room.

To mute any video input to the television screen:

Press the Mute Displays button

Audio Controls:

Adjusting Sound from the PC, or Laptop Press Arrows to raise or lower audio and mute button to mute.

Ceiling mics:

Inputs room voice into system for use with Zoom Conferencing.

When Ceiling Mics are ON:

Cameras and Controls:

There is one camera located between the televisions.

Select Camera Control

This will open the camera control screen where you can control the camera manually or select a preset.

Select the camera preset buttons to move the camera to locations set by ILRCT. If you prefer a different view, use the arrows to move the camera left, right, up, down, and zoom in (+) and out (-). To reset to the original position just hit the top camera preset button.

Shutting Down

When you have completed use of the system, please ensure to end your Zoom meeting.

 

Then press the Power Off button to reset the system for the next meeting.

You will receive a closing panel to indicate proper shut down has been initiated.

Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)NOTE: When shutting the room down, please do not shut down or power off the PC.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Is the appropriate input selected?
  2. If computer is selected and the screen is blank, is the PC on? Look inside the rack for a white light on the power button of the Dell PC.
  3. If laptop is selected and there is no video, set display to duplicate (Windows+P or Command F1 on Macs).Is the HDMI or VGA cable securely connected?
  4. Trouble using laptop for Zoom, is the USB cable connected?Are the room cameras, mics, speakers selected?
  5. Room mics not working? Are they muted or turned off?
  6. No audio with your video? Is the source or system muted? Is the video player muted? Is the proper TV audio selected?
