Open the self Service application and select the maintenance category;
The install will determine the latest operating system that is compatible with your machine and begin downloading it.
If prompted for a password, please be sure to type in the correct password, this is the one you use to login to the mac when it is turned on.
Be sure to have your machine plugged into power and save your work as it will restart when completed.
