This article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and operating the HOVERAir X1 self-flying camera. The steps below cover downloading the companion app, charging the battery, powering on the device, selecting a flight mode, landing, and connecting to the app to manage your recorded content.

Procedure

Step 1: Download the App

Scan the QR code below to download and install the Hover X1 app.

Step 2: Charge the Battery

Before using HOVERAir X1 for the first time, be sure to charge the battery fully.

Step 3: Power On

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until you hear the voice prompt and the green status indicator turns on.

Note: Do NOT insert any finger or object into the propeller area. To stop HOVERAir X1 mid-flight, grab it from the air and press the power button, or flip it 180° to stop the propellers. For full safety information, refer to the safety instruction manual and disclaimer at zzrobotics.com/support.

Step 4: Select a Mode and Fly

1. Open the HOVERAir X1 enclosure as shown below.

   

2. Switch modes using the mode button.
3. Hold HOVERAir X1 horizontally.
4. Short press the power button. All propellers will start spinning.
5. Release HOVERAir X1. It will take off and perform the selected flight path.

Step 5: Land HOVERAir X1

When HOVERAir X1 has finished its flight path, place your hand 20 cm below it. It will automatically land on your hand.

Step 6: Connect to the App

Open the Hover X1 app to download your content or adjust flight parameters.
