Description
CALS OIT provides support for operating system (OS) and productivity software that is actively maintained by the vendor. If published by the vendor, CALS OIT's end of support date is informed by the vendor's end of support date.
In alignment with Cornell's Information Security policy 5.10, only computers running actively maintained software may be used on Cornell’s network.
The tables below show CALS OIT’s currently supported OS and productivity software versions.

- Active: This software is supported by CALS OIT and will be installed upon request.
- Containment: This software is currently supported by CALS OIT but no new computers will be configured with this platform.
- Phasing Out: CALS OIT is actively working to migrate computers away from this software.
- EOL: Software will be placed in this status when the vendor no longer provides updates for it. This software is no longer supported by CALS OIT. Computers running EOL operating systems must be isolated from the rest of the depts. network traffic, and cannot connect to the internet.
