Describes how to use Mac and PC self-service portals to install optional software packages.

Description

Optional software titles are readily available for quick installation via your CALS OIT managed Mac or PC's self-service portal.

Procedure

To install optional software titles or pre-install, at your convenience, required packages simply:

  1. Click the Start button on the taskbar or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
  2. Type Software Center in the search bar at the top.
  3. Click on Software Center.

  4. Optional installs will be displayed under Applications on the left sidebar.  Choose what you need and follow the prompts.

To install optional software titles on your CALS OIT managed Mac:

  1. Open Finder and open the Applications folder.
  2. Double-click Self Service+.
  3. Once the Self Service+ app loads, optional installs will appear under the Catalog. Choose what you need and click the button.
