Oracle Micros Reporting and Analytics: Report Questions, Access, and Outages

Summary

For Statler Hotel managers: standard browser checks for Micros Reporting and Analytics, then how-to questions and outages to the vendor (CBORD), access or account setup to the Director of Food and Beverage, and a ticket to the IT help desk before the Hotel System Manager.

Body

About Reporting and Analytics

Oracle Micros Reporting and Analytics is the web-based reporting platform for the POS system. It produces sales reports, labor analytics, and operational data for management. It is also where user accounts for POS terminals and EMC are managed, in the "People" section. You may hear it called "Micros Reports," "POS Reports," "F and B Reports," or "R and A." It normally has near-100% uptime, so a problem for one person is much more likely than an outage.

Who to contact

  • How to use the platform: the vendor, CBORD, or its online documentation: Oracle Restaurants Reporting and Analytics User Guide. AI assistants such as Microsoft Copilot are also good for how-to questions.
  • Access and account setup: the Director of Food and Beverage, the Product Champion for Reporting and Analytics. The IT helpdesk does not have access to the Micros platform and cannot set up or check accounts. Line-level users are set up by Payroll, and management users by the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Platform outages or errors: the vendor, CBORD, at 844-462-2673, Option 1.

If you cannot sign in or the page will not load - try these first

  1. Open a private or incognito browser window and try to sign in again.
  2. Clear the browser cache and cookies, then try again.
  3. Turn off all browser extensions, then try again.
  4. Try a different browser - Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
  5. Confirm you have a working internet connection.
  6. Fully close and restart the browser, then try again.
  7. Ask whether other people are seeing the same problem. If several people are affected at once, it is more likely a platform or network issue than a problem with one person or PC.
  8. Confirm you are using the correct web address or bookmark.

Common questions

  • A POS terminal user cannot sign in. POS user accounts are managed in "People" here and are set up by Payroll after PCI training. Contact the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • An EMC user cannot sign in. EMC accounts are also managed in "People." Contact the Director of Food and Beverage.

Still need help?

The order is: Director of Food and Beverage, then the vendor (CBORD), then the IT help desk (log a ticket), then the Hotel System Manager. How-to questions can go straight to CBORD.

Always log a ticket with the IT help desk first (itrequests@business.cornell.edu). If the situation is critical or urgent, you can then contact the Hotel System Manager directly, after you have submitted the ticket. Your manager or department director knows how to reach the Hotel System Manager and is empowered to do so based on their judgment.

Still need help? Contact the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business Helpdesk at itrequests@business.cornell.edu.
