The suggestions may be in a different order from the full results page, and depending on Cornell's Box settings the results themselves may differ.

Narrow your results with filters

To open the filter menu, click the Search Options icon on the right side of the search bar:

  • Content Filters tab: filter by file type, date modified and file owner.
  • Metadata tab: filter using custom metadata fields.

You can also filter from the full results page. Use the drop-down menus at the top of the page to filter by file type, file size, date modified, file owner or custom metadata.

Search tips

  • Spelling suggestions: if you misspell a word, Box suggests a "Did you mean" alternative. Click it to search again with the corrected spelling. This works only when the Box page language is set to English.
  • Exact phrases: put the words in double quotes, for example "quarterly budget". Box matches the words in order but ignores punctuation between them, so a search for "Blue-Box" also finds "Blue Box" and "blue.box".
