Application Checklist

The Application Checklist displays important outside-of-application requirements to Applicants. This is a new section of the Application Dashboard and displays whenever an application’s data meets any configured requirements (e.g. Not answering a field, having Education records needing official transcripts).

The Application Checklist displays important outside-of-application requirements to Applicants. This is a new section of the Application Dashboard and displays whenever an application’s data meets any configured requirements (e.g. Not answering a field, having Education records needing official transcripts). As these requirements are met, the statuses on the associated Checklist Tiles will update to indicate completion.

Checklist Features and Behavior

• By default, the Checklist will not display if there are no configurations for a Program or if none of the configured conditions have been met yet. Additionally, each Checklist Category section will not display if there are no records matching that Category's requirements.
• The Checklist will display a count of how many items for a Category are still outstanding. When this count is 0 (all items Received), then the Category will default to being collapsed.
• Recommendation Tiles have an additional button to re-send a Recommendation Request email. This button can only be pressed by the applicant once every day, and will not display if the email was already sent that day.

Checklist Category/Tile Structure

Each Checklist Category and Tile consist of:

Display - what shows to the Applicant

Category: Main grouping heading (e.g. Recommendation, Transcript)

Header: Title of each tile (combines specified field values from Applicant input)

• This will default to a value of New Entry if all field values are blank

Tracking: How to determine Outstanding/Received status

• If Type = Field, the field name to check for a value on each Tile record.  Current logic is only based on if the field has a value or not (e.g. Checkbox fields, Did an applicant respond to a question) .
• If Type = File, the file name prefix to look for on each Tile record

Additional Fields: Extra information to display (e.g. Recommendation Email Sent Date)

Logic - how we decide when to make a Tile

Object: The type of record to associate with Tiles in this Category (Admissions Application, Admissions Application Education, etc.)

Scope: Determines which records or conditions should create Tiles

•  Defaults to all records of object type

Type: The method of comparison to determine a Tile’s status. Options Are:

                Field: Detects if a field is populated or not (either by Applicant or Admissions Staff)

                File Upload: Detects if a file was uploaded to the record associated with the Tile (e.g. Org Chart, Resume)

                Static: Always displays status as Outstanding while Tile conditions are met (e.g. Application in Contingent Offer status)
