Displaying the IT Policy Compliance Splash Screen

Summary

Prepare a JCB Windows or Mac computer to display the IT policy compliance splash screen at login by connecting to the JCB VPN for at least two hours.

Body

Overview

JCB computers display an IT policy compliance splash screen during login. These steps prepare your computer to receive that screen. The process works on both Windows and Mac.

Before you begin

  • You can connect to the JCB VPN. If you have not set it up, see Related articles below.
  • You have about two hours during which your computer can stay connected to the VPN.

Steps

  1. Connect to the JCB VPN and stay connected for at least two hours. This ensures the appropriate settings apply to your computer.
  2. After the two hours have passed, you may disconnect from the Cisco VPN.
  3. The next time you log into your computer, you will see the compliance screen during the login process (see Expected result below).

Expected result

On Windows, the compliance splash screen appears during login:

On Mac, the compliance splash screen appears during login:

Troubleshooting

  • Screen still does not appear: confirm you stayed connected to the JCB VPN for the full two hours, then log out and back in. If it still does not show, contact the Helpdesk.
