How to Find Your IT Help Ticket by Ticket Number

Summary

Look up a specific ticket in the JCB IT Help portal by its ticket number to check its status and details.

Body

Use the JCB IT Help portal to look up a specific ticket and check its status and details.

Before you begin

  • Have your ticket number ready. You can find it in the confirmation email you received when your ticket was created.
  • Sign in with your Cornell NetID if you are prompted.

Steps

  1. Go to ithelp.business.cornell.edu.
  2. In the black navigation bar at the top of the page, click Services.
  3. In the row of links just below the navigation bar, click Ticket Requests.
  4. Click in the ID field on the right side of the search form, then paste or type your ticket number.
  5. Click the red Search button.

Expected result

Your ticket appears in the results list. Click the ticket's title to open it and see its current status and updates.

Troubleshooting

  • Your ticket doesn't appear: by default, the Status Class filter shows only New, In Process, and On Hold tickets. If your ticket has been resolved or closed, add those statuses to the filter and search again.
  • Still no result: check that you entered the full ticket number with no extra spaces.
