Activate your Cornell Sponsored NetID

  1. You should have received an email regarding your Cornell Sponsored NetID.Please follow those instructions to activate your NetID.
  2. Make sure you have setup Two-Step Login for your Cornell Sponsored NetID.If not, please visit https://twostep.netid.cornell.edu/ and enroll a device. If you run into any issues, you can call 607-255-6300 for immediate assistance.

Install the Cisco VPN

  1. Connect to https://cuvpn.cuvpn.cornell.edu. The SSL VPN Service Login dialog box will open.


     
  2. Enter the following:
    • Group: Leave this set to CornellVPN 
      (even if you will be using a departmental VPN after installing AnyConnect).
    • User Name: Enter your Cornell NetID.
    • Password: Enter your Cornell NetID password.
       
  3. Select Login.
  4. Downloads & Install page will appear after a successful login. It may take a few seconds to a few minutes to collect information about your system.
  5. If you see two tabs labeled Download and Automatic Provisioning, select Download. (It's okay if you don't see these tabs.)
  6. Click Download for Windows.
  7. The file should be saved in the default download folder. Locate the file named
    anyconnect-win-<version number>-core-vpn-webdeploy-k9.msi 
    then double-click to open it.
  8. Click Run. You may be asked to enter an administrative password for your computer.
  9. Follow the instructions on screen.

Connect to the VPN

  1. Launch the Cisco VPN and enter cuvpn.cuvpn.cornell.edu then select Connect.

     
  2. At the login screen follow these steps and select OK.

**If you don’t use the DUO push app you can type in phone in the DUO Passcode box to receive a phone call to authenticate

**If you do not see the field "DUO Passcode(push/sms/phone)" and only see "Second Passcode", you'll need to open the DUO app on your phone and select "Cornell University" to get the passcode. Once Cisco connects to the JCB-VPN-SUPPORT, the application will upgrade and the next time you connect you will see the "DUO Passcode(push/sms/phone)" field
