12Twenty Data in Salesforce

12Twenty is the recruiting and career system used by Johnson's Career Management Center (CMC). Some 12Twenty data is loaded into Salesforce, so that CMC, corporate relations, student services, alumni affairs and development, faculty and other offices can see a fuller picture of each student. This page explains what can come over, which students it covers, and what stays confidential.

What comes into Salesforce

12Twenty data in Salesforce can include:

  • student outcome and background data
  • event attendance
  • on-campus interview applications, and interviews held on campus
  • job board resume drops
  • advising appointments and student notes
  • corporate events, interviews, contacts and activities

Only Cornell MBA students are included.

What stays confidential

Some of this data, such as outcomes, advising appointments and student notes, is restricted to Career Management staff.

How the load works

Past events only. Events, interviews and appointments come into Salesforce only once they're at least a day in the past. Records aren't updated after they're loaded, so only records unlikely to change are brought in.

Contacts. The load never changes an existing contact, so your edits to contacts are safe. People who aren't in Salesforce yet are added as new contacts.

Companies.

  • Companies are matched to existing Salesforce accounts through a company name translation list. The load never creates or changes accounts.
  • Records with no company name go to the Johnson CMC account.
  • Records with a company name that can't be matched go to the JPAY - No Company Match account.

If you see a 12Twenty record under JPAY - No Company Match that belongs to a real company, the company name needs adding to the translation list. Submit a ticket with the company name as it appears in 12Twenty and the Salesforce account it should match.
