What is an activity?
An interaction between you and a company and/or person such as a phone call, meeting, or email. You don't need to log every single email, only those with information that might be relevant or provide context to you or others in the future.
Logging activities is an important step in understanding the relationship we have with our corporate partners. When everyone logs their activities it also allows us to measure how active a company is with the college. It also helps build your own network by providing visibility to you about who already has a relationship with that company and what their interests are.
You can add the activity before or after the interaction has occurred. If you want to log before it has occurred, follow the steps to create a task. You can also log emails directly from Outlook with the Salesforce for Outlook.

Important
When logging an activity include both the company and the contact who you interacted with. This way even if that person moves to another company, the activity will still be logged with the company.
