Workday Learning is a learning tool that connects employees, students, and other workers with required training and additional professional development opportunities.

Key Features of Workday Learning:

  • User-Friendly Interface:  Employees are familiar with the existing Workday platform.
  • One Place to Go: A single location for managing learning, compliance, and career development, fully integrated with Workday’s HR and communication features.
  • Personalized Recommendations: Tailored course suggestions based on employee profiles and professional goals.
  • Enhanced Reporting: Improved reporting capabilities for better compliance tracking and data insights for leaders.
  • Mobile Access: Convenient access to learning materials on mobile devices.

Notes about the Transition:

All completed courses and attendance/grade history from CU Learn have transferred to Workday Learning with a “Completed” status. Employees who had not completed any “In-progress” courses prior to the end of business on November 8th will see these courses reflected as "Not Started" in Workday Learning. For any CU Learn / Workday Learning transcript issues or questions, please contact workdaylearning@cornell.edu for assistance.

Employees can reference the Quick Guide to Getting Started in Workday LearningAdditionally, detailed training guides and FAQs will be available on the HR Learning Opportunities page for employees, leaders, learning coordinators, instructors, and learning partners.

Library Learning Opportunities Funding Guidelines

The goal of the Library Learning Opportunity (LLO) Fund is to provide Library employees access to training and development events that align employee skills and knowledge with library goals. In addition to formal training programs and workshops, LLO funds may be requested for informal, grassroots learning projects. Employees are encouraged to think creatively about learning and sharing knowledge!

Submit a training request here.

Allocations will be made in a context of striving to achieve an equitable distribution of the limited available resources. Projects may be funded fully or in part, depending on the amount requested, the availability of alternative or supplemental funding, the value-added potential for the Library, and the availability of LLO funds.

A successful funding request will:

  1. Identify a discrete learning objective and opportunity.
  2. Indicate how this undertaking will enhance the learner’s effectiveness.
  3. Describe how the new knowledge will be shared with other Library employees.
  4. Articulate how the learning supports library goals.
