FAQs
1. Do I still need to order evaluations, ever?
No more ordering in SETs. Multiple faculty evaluated in one course. Courses are evaluated based on threshold (min. 5 enrolled), unless otherwise is requested by leadership.
2. But what if I need to communicate evaluation changes?
That’s where DIG comes in; you let us know during validation and approval of data. Data pulls are nightly, like with DUST but directly from PeopleSoft.
3. What does DIG even mean?
Data Integrity Gateway. Basically the bridge between PeopleSoft and Blue to ensure data appears as expected in the evaluations.
4. Is it generally no longer required that you order an evaluation, but you should still order when there are multiple instructors?
False. No more ordering. The whole teaching team is evaluated in one course evaluation on teaching, but there is a minimum threshold of 5 students to evaluate. (If this limit needs to change for a course, please inform the SETs team and provide a brief context with leadership approval.)
5. Where do I search for PIs and TAs directly?
Advanced Search > Group Member . Most other advanced search fields are searched under "Courses Fields".
6. Are columns are completely editable?
Aside from the ones with locks, yes. You can move and hide them as you wish but the names are set.
7. What is the last step of validation?
Publish. This is how we know you've completed all steps and checks.
8. How are TAs flagged for evaluation?
By default, only TAs listed at the secondary component level are evaluated but this can be updated by request.
