Dear colleagues,
SSC has confirmed there's currently a moratorium on reimbursements for autonomous ride-share services such as Waymo until Risk Management and other senior leaders conclude their review (timeline not available). While Waymo functions similarly to traditional ride-share or taxi services, the autonomous nature of the service introduces additional risk considerations, and the pause is intended to ensure alignment with institutional risk policies and insurance considerations and is not meant to be arbitrary. In the meantime, please note that you may not use a T&M card to pay for rides on an autonomous ride-share service, and that the university will not reimburse those rides at this time. I'll update when the university has made a determination.
