Library Vehicle Policy
- Only Cornell faculty, staff, and students who have registered through Fleet Services (see below) may drive a university owned vehicle.
- Library owned vehicles are to be used for university business only. Personal use is not permitted.
- Library owned vehicles may not be used to transport passengers for unauthorized use.
- The Library Passenger Van should not be driven further than 5 miles from the Ithaca campus.
- CUL Facilities reserves the right to deny any requests to sign out library owned vehicles.
- Review University Policy 3.4 – Use of Cornell Vehicles for more details.
Driver Registration – Fleet Services
- Please go to the Cornell Fleet Services Registration Page and fill out the User Registration Form AND the Driver Release Form. Be sure to fill out BOTH forms. Enter the departmental account number that you would typically charge for a fleet rental. *This account will not be charged when you register or when you use library owned vehicles.*
- Once you have registered annually, please send an email to cul-fachelp-l@cornell.edu letting us know you have completed the process. Fleet Services will not respond to you or to CUL Facilities, so we rely on you to do the update and let us know it's complete.
- You are required to immediately notify CUL Facilities if there is a change in your license status after you have registered.
