Driver Registration Procedures
Starting January 2024 we will require anyone using the Library Passenger Van to register annually with Fleet. Once you have followed the steps outlined after the vehicle policy you will be updated on our Driver List.
Library vehicle policy
- Only Cornell Faculty, Staff, and Students who have registered through AgileFleet (see below) are allowed to drive or be in any Cornell-owned vehicle.
- Students, faculty, and staff can volunteer to drive on behalf of the university for other departments; however, they must register in the agile fleet system.
- Non-Cornell employees are not allowed to drive Cornell vehicles. Independent student orgs are not allowed in Cornell vehicles. Everyone must follow the use of Cornell vehicle policy.
- Library owned vehicles are to be used for university business only. Personal use is not permitted.
- Library owned vehicles may not be used to transport passengers for unauthorized use.
- CUL Facilities reserves the right to deny any requests to sign out library owned vehicles.
Driver Registration – Fleet Operations and Facilities
- Please go to the Cornell Fleet Services Registration Page and fill out the User Registration Form AND the Driver Release Form. Be sure to fill out BOTH forms. Use a general account number. *This account will never be charged when you register or when you use library owned vehicles.*
- Once you have registered annually. Please send an email to cjl10@cornell.edu letting us know you have completed the process. Fleet will not respond to you or to Facilities so we rely on you to do the update and let us know you've done this.
- You are required to immediately notify CUL Facilities if there is a change in your license status after you have registered.
