    • To print on ENVELOPES use this configuration:Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  • Note that you may need to press the green "Start" button on the front of the copier in order to begin the envelope printing.
  • It is highly recommended to print smaller batches of envelopes rather than one large batch, due to the possibility of a jam or mis-feed.
  • After you are done printing with the ENVELOPE setting, you will need to revert your settings to LETTER to be able to print normally again.

Why do I need to do this?

  • The envelope/mail merge feature of Word on PC does not allow you to select a different printer or paper type than the system default. Therefore, envelope printing will automatically use whatever settings are designated under "Printing Preferences" without the opportunity to change them.
  • This process will change your default printing output for ALL programs, so remember to change it back after you are done. Otherwise, all future print jobs from any program will try to print to an envelope in the bypass tray rather than on letter paper.
  • Because Mac OS computers have a different printing system, they are not affected by this. Mac users are able to change the output on the printer dialog page without issue.
